Kate Moss does wonders for this leopard print blazer..

Afrocentric - my own creation..

I went a little OTT with the prints in this outfit, but I think this works in this case. I don't think there's too much of a clash.

The cropped shirt I think works well with the skirt - tucked in, obviously - and the waist belt gives your outfit a bit of shape so it isn't just hanging off you.

The shoes, I know, are a bit over the top with the snakeprint, but I think that whilst I'm following the African inspired outfit, I can get away with it.

The tortoise-shell sunglasses adds that bit of glamour so you can picture yourself walking through a 5-star hotel in Africa about to go on Safari. The brown clutch ties the whole outfit together and the bit of texture keeps in within the rough, outback theme I think this trend has.

The gorgeous bracelet is my favourite part of the outfit. I am a huge fan of turquoise and I think it adds a bit of range within the colour pallet of this outfit. The precious stones give it an expensive quality about the entire outfit.

Afrocentric

V: "When thoughts turn to summer, the sun-drenched plains of Africa are never far from designers' minds. While traditional references (animal prints, safari suiting) still inspire, this season's Africana also mixes ethnic prints, raffia-work, tribal sketches and intricate beading into a modish melting pot of ancient techniques and avant-garde ideas."

A: I have never disagreed with animal print and I think it's something that can be tastefully done and you don't have to look like a hooker standing on the side of the road. I think the place where people go wrong is when they dress too provocatively - or they wear the disgusting leggings that just look horrendous! All over prints on dresses and skirts teamed with a shirt or vest top gives it a more classy look. Tribal prints are also gorgeous and perfect for summer.

Katy Perry is able to pull of the exposed midriff with that toned body..

Vintage Americana - my own creation..

Keeping in within the trend and my favourite parts of it. I chose a vintage yellow cropped Levi's jacket and teamed it with a black leather skirt. I think the juxtaposition between the hard leather and the soft pastel colours work well.

The plaid shoes keep within the trend too and the design keeps it vintage. The art-deco earrings keep within the vintage style and the small aqua purse resembles many bags that can be found in your local vintage stores.

My favourite part of the Americana trend is the cat's-eye sunglasses. It gives a pop of sophistication and gives a sort of sexy Audrey Hepburn look.

Vintage Americana

V: "Designers have shrugged off recession gloom with dreams of a more affluent era: Fifties USA. Think glossy leathers buffed to a Cadillac shine, cat's-eye sunglasses, preppy checks in ice-cream-sundae shades and Prada's muscle-car prints. For those of can - a bare midriff will show off those cheerleader abs."

A: I love everything about this trend. Vintage is fabulous and I'm glad it's back. Obviously, I am a great believer that if you want a vintage look, you've got to actually buy vintage and not something from a high street store labelled "vintage". I love pastel colours - as seen in the Pale and Interesting trend - and mixed with 50s inspired prints it makes it a lot more playful. Mixing with highwaisted skirts including leather and plaids, it keep all body types in the loop.

Kim Kardashian look elegant in all white..

Graphic White - my own creation..

As it's obviously abundantly clear in previous posts: I'm big on tailoring - blazers in particular. The graphic white trend is no doubt perfect for me, not including the whole part of white blazers being ridiculously expensive however.

I knew that tailoring and sculptor are important with this trend so I went with a strong blazer/trouser combo to give a summery office look.

The killer white high heeled sandals are to keep with that summer feel and to team into the outfit. The yellow trim gives it a pop of colour.

The white clutch with black trim breaks up the white so it doesn't look so angelic, the gold with turquoise pendant is to add another splash of colour and richness.

Graphic White

V: "Precision-cut tailoring and crisp cotton frocks have a cool, clinical brilliance."

A: I've always been a fan of tailoring and I'm never afraid to admit that. White is always a hard colour to pull off and I think it takes a super model to do it perfectly. I've always wanted to own my own white suit-jacket. It screams wealth and richness. White trousers, however, I think are made much more for celebrities doing guest appearances.

Drew Barrymore pulls the 1920s off seamlessly..

Gatsby Glamour - my own creation..

When I styled this look, I was looking more for what I'd wear than going extravagantly over the top. Removing the dress, you could wear everything else separately with different outfits.

The dress is beautiful. It screams wealth with the detailed fringing and can suit any shape.

Alexander McQueen should be involved in most outfits, in my opinion. I used his shoes, mostly because the colours match the outfit, but also because it's a classic shoe shape.

The gold clutch and the drop earrings finish of a very classic and elegant look, with a bit of edge thrown in there for good measure.

Gatsby Glamour

V: "Inspired by this year's film adaptation of the F Scott Fitzgerald classic, the catwalks were brimming with deco details for evening. Cast yourself as a modern-day Daisy Buchanan in tasselled trims, lavish beading and a froth of ostrich feathers."

A: I think that if you have plenty of pennies in the bank, this look won't be too hard to pull off. Feathers and tassels don't come cheap and I think these looks may come off a bit costumey if accessorised incorrectly. Gold, silver, black and a bit of white are all included in this style, but unless you're minted or going to a fancy dress party: I wouldn't personally try it.

Pale and Interesting - my own creation..

I decided to go for a much more beachy look more than the much more elegant dresses that are featured within Vogue. Summer is coming and I will it could come sooner.

I wanted to keep with the main idea of the dress. Ity;s flowey and white and I wanted to give a bit more structure to the rest of the outfit.

I used the black pattern and chose a black hat - obviously to keep the sun out of your eyes - with the simple bag that you could use for the beach.

Falling in love with the shoes - for the deck/bar than the beach - and used the white from the T-Bar in the sunglasses.

Love,
A xo.

Pale and Interesting

V: "The collections were drenched in the palest of washes for spring. Steer clear of sickly-sweet shades and opt for icy alternatives: glacier blue, spearmint green, bitter lemon and damask rose offer a subtler pastel palette."

A: I love this trend. In summer you always want to show off your tan and I think this is the way to do it if you don't feel comfortable in white. From structure mini's to flowing maxi's, there's every style of clothing available in every shade of pastel colour that you can find that will no doubt pop up everywhere on the high street.

Personal representation by Elbows and Knees - blogspot.com

Ready for Summer

I maybe a complete winter bug, but I am excited for summer to come back. I still believe that winter is a better season for fashion because obviously, the colder the weather, the more clothes you put on - duh!

I think this outfit is really good for just a bit of minimalism if you don't want to think too much about an outfit.

Shoppers are always great bags. They're simple and they pretty much go with every outfit. You can even get them free from Topshop and other highstreet stores on occasion and it's a well known fact that eco-friendly organisations are big on them.

The black maxi-skirt are always a good base for an outfit. If you want to dress up or dress down, you can accessories it easily and simply with a few bracelets, different pairs of shoes and with a jacket.

Denim has been and always will be in, and demin shirts are a strong androgynous statement, but even if you tie it up like a cow girl or just leave it to hang loosely, you can still look relaxed, but very on trend.

A xo.

Heidi Klum in Michael Kors - Red Siren, Inspiration

Dream Job

I don't think it's a secret that I want to work in fashion. I've always dreamed about walking into the Hearst building and have people recognising me for my incredible outfits put together by myself from my vast designer wardrobe.

I want to be known for styling celebrities from all over the world for premiers or even just little event parties.

I think this outfit is a strong representation of my favourite trends and how my money would be spent.

As seen in a previous post, I love collar detailing, and this white shirt, to me, can be teamed with pretty much anything and can be worn all year round.

The leather trousers teamed with the token Vivienne Westwood armour ring (which I will own one day) and the studded shoes shows the grunge side that I absolutely adore. Punk has always been a love of mine and Westwood being one of the main founders of bringing punk into mainstream fashion, she has become an idol of mine.

The bright yellow studded shoes are a statement piece and I don't think women should be afraid to draw attention to themselves in a stylish way. Obviously don't walk into a shop wearing some hideous Pineapple concoction, but if you can afford to and you feel confident enough: do it.

I chose the bag because I am obsessed with the Celine bag and this is the closest I could find. The Michael Kors watch is just something of beauty and goes with the use of silver within the outfit.
